The Fighting Cock is an English translation by Lucienne Hill [1] of L’Hurluberlu ou le Réactionnaire amoureux, a 1958 play about General Charles de Gaulle by French dramatist Jean Anouilh (1910-1987) [2].

Designed by Aubrey Couling. The production opened on 25 September in the Alexander Theatre.
