A circus founded in Cape Town by Signor Severo, who had been a partner of [[Dalle Case]] in the [[Italian Circus]]. When the partners split up in February 1848,  Severo then continued with what he called the [[African Circus]], offering performances in Cape Town and Stellenbosch till October. The circus folded when he then left for Rio de Janeiro.
