(17*-18*) Amateur actor. A member of the private Highland Amateur Party of soldiers from the 72 Highlanders, who performed in the Cape Town Barracks Theatre in the period 1823-1828. He played "Billy" in Paul Pry and "Mrs Fixture" in the farce A Roland for an Oliver on 5 September one year in this period.
