Red is a play about the American painter Mark Rothko [1], written by American playwright, screenwriter and film producer John Logan [2] (born 1961). The play opened at the Donmar Warehouse, London, on December 3, 2009. The one-act, 90 minute play centres on the period of development of the Seagram Murals. Alfred Molina played Rothko. It was directed by the Donmar's artistic director Michael Grandage. It had sell-out attendance.
