The Blue Fox was a theatre that had been set up in a converted restaurant in the Oxford Hotel, in the suburb of Rosebank, Johannesburg, in the early 1970s. Jerome Kilty’s Dear Liar was staged here, starring Diane Wilson and Hugh Rouse, in 1972. The Company staged some of their shoestring budgeted shows here when they used it as a home for a while (e.g. to do plays such as Hello and Goodbye by Athol Fugard, May Day Adventure by Janice Honeyman, Antigone by Jean Anouilh, Twelfth Night, by William Shakespeare), ** Pieter-Dirk Uys’ Pity About People was staged here in 1975.
