A member of the Kaapstadse Afrikaanse Toneelvereniging (K.A.T). She wrote Die Ongelyke Worsteling (“The Unequal Struggle”, published in two parts in Die Huisgenoot, 18 Jan. 1929 and 25 Jan. 1929), Drie Lewens (“Three Lives”, performed by K.A.T. 1935), Beatriks Ursula (K.A.T., 1936), Terwyl daar Basaar gehou word (“While a basaar was being held”, Ons Teatertjie Toneelgroep, 1936), *

She translated Mademoiselle by Jacques Deval into Afrikaans as well as 'n Man van Beginsel from the original French.
