(néé Cora Urquhart - 1859-1936) A professional actress from London, who had made her name as amateur in America and trained by David Belasco. First performed in London in 1986, then undertook a tour to Australia and the Far East. Brought to South Africa by Luscombe Searelle in 1892, on her way back,  with her partner Kyrle Bellew. She was a glamorous red-head, especially celebrated for her costumes, and they played scenes from Romeo and Juliet, Camille and Hamlet. They returned to England toward the end of February 1892, after the Exhibition Theatre  burnt down, with all their costumes.
