Alice Through the Looking Glass is a variation on the title of Lewis Carrol's 1871 sequel to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, correctly titled Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There.

The novel has been been widely translated. The text has also been adapted in various forms for stage, radio, screen and film on numerous occasions.
Performance history in South Africa
1973: Through the Looking Glass adapted by Felicity Douglas, presented by NAPAC at the Alhambra Theatre and on tour, directed by Hugh Goldie.
1978: Alice Through the Looking Glass presented at the Guild Theatre by Arts Theatre Club, directed by Hazel Tennant and Marco van der Colff.
1985: Adapted and directed by Robert Perry and presented by Upstairs Theatre at Durban's Mermaid Restaurant.
