Acted for Leonie Pienaar in Die Veroweraar (Simons-Mees) and Sakke Vol Geld (Evans and Valentine) in the early 1930s. Member of and performer for Ons Teatertjie and Volksteater in Pretoria , later for Kaapstadse Afrikaanse Toneelvereniging in Cape Town. As a member of Ons Teatertjie Toneelgroep he performs in Boumeester Solness (1935), Terwyl daar Basaar gehou word (Marie Linde, 1936), In die Wagkamer (J.F.W. Grosskopf, 1936), Ousus (H.A. Fagan, 1936), plus 11 plays for Volksteater between 1936 and 1942.
