CHEDOROV, Jerome (1911 - 2004).  Playwright and librettist. He was born in New York City, and entered journalism in the 1930s, but is best known for his play ''[[My Sister Eileen]]'' and for the musical comedy ''[[Wonderful Town]]'', which is based on it. Came out to South Africa in 1974 to direct his play ''[[A Community of Two]]'' for [[Toerien-Firth]] starring [[Heather Lloyd-Jones]] at the [[Intimate Theatre]].
