My Name is Lucy Barton is a one-person play by Elizabeth Strout and Rona Munro.

The original text
Based on Strout's novel of the same name, adapted for the stage by Munro, the piece was originally performed in New York and in London, with Laura Linney as Lucy.

Performance history in South Africa
2024: Produced by How Now Brown Cow, it was first performed in South Africa at the Hilton Arts Festival in Natal, from 2-4 August, directed by Charmaine Weir-Smith, with Julie-Anne McDowell, with designs by Kieran McGregor.
2024: The production then staged at the Baxter Theatre, Cape Town from 18 September to 5 October.
2024: Also staged at the Theatre on the Square, Johannesburg from 9 to 27 October.
