Flip Theron (1945-2024) was an Afrikaans stage, film and TV actor.

Biography
Born on 24 October, 1945, and raised in Hoekwil on the Garden Route, he became a stage and media performer, working for various companies and the SABC.
He later returned to Wildernis on the Garden Route, where he spent the last 20 years of his life. He died of cancer in Sedgefield on 17 June, 2024. Married to Emilie Theron, and the couple one son.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
He started his career as a stage actor and did radio work and dubbing for the SABC
Among the dubbing projects was the voice of the lead character in in the American series Quincy (broadcast in Afrikaans in the late 1970s).
He performed on stage in Die Van Aardes van Grootoor (as “Fanie”), Send for Dolly (1980) and in Die Vonkel in Haar Oë! (CAPAB 1989).
He acted in a number of Afrikaans television series, including the popular Nommer Asseblief, Dokter,Dokter, Vyfster
His film work included Blink Stefaans, Pretoria, O Pretoria!, Hoener met die Rooi Skoene, Knysna, Jopie Theron, Faan se Trein, Beloftes van Môre (1981).
