Performance history in South Africa
1976: Presented in English by PACT Opera in Pretoria’s Aula and in the Johannesburg Civic Theatre, with Nellie du Toit as Jenůfa, Gé Korsten as Laca Klemeň, Evelyn Dalberg as Kostelnička, George Kok as Števa Buryja, Stella Beder as Grandmother Buryja, Rikie Venter as Jano and Barbara Veenemans as Karolka. With Elsabe Boonzaier, Ravonne Swart, Theunis van Rooyen, Margarethe Rauch and Gloria Roosen. Produced by Ande Anderson, PACT Symphony Orchestra conducted by Leo Quayle.
