Leleti Khumalo (1969-) [1] is a South African stage, TV and film actress and singer. (Also works as Leleti Kumalo).

Biography
Born in Durban on 30 November, 1969,
Married to Mbongeni Ngema for a number of years.
Obtained an acting diploma from the Mbongeni Ngema Academy of Performance Excellence in 2000.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
She rose to fame when she played the title role in Mbongeni Ngema’s Sarafina which opened at the Market Theatre on 12 June 1987 before touring extensively. She starred in Mbongeni Ngema’s Magic at 4 a.m at the Civic Theatre in 1993, Blues for an Alabama Sky (Market Theatre 1997), The Zulu (1999), Mbongeni Ngema Live! Stimela saseZola (2003).
Films include Sarafina! (1992) , Cry, the Beloved Country (1995) (as Leleti Kumalo) , Yesterday (2004) , Hotel Rwanda (2004) and Faith's Corner (2005) . She married Mbongeni Ngema in 1991. * 2006: Currently in the popular South African soap opera Generations.

She received a 1988 Tony Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical for Sarafina!
