Michele Brandenburger (active in SA 1980-2015) is a teacher, actress, director and producer.

Biography

Studied at the University of Cape Town (Bilingual Performers' Diploma, Speech and Drama) and at the University of South Africa (UNISA) (Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Linguistics, with a Distinction in Communications)

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Theatre management

Served as a board member and Honorary Life President of DRAMSOC East London (1980 - 2012): Responsible for all entertainment at The Alexander Playhouse, including directing, venue hire, co-ordinating and booking of productions, actors, dancers and musicians from South Africa to perform in the venue, contracting and budgeting, handling all the publicity and marketing. She also initiated and managed the FNB Alexander Playhouse Provincial High School Drama Festival (2010 - 2012).

She also served as the Deputy Director, Directorate of Arts and Culture, Bisho, Central Region, Eastern Cape (Jan 1996 - Jan 2001).

In February 2001 she founded and ran Class Act Productions, a Corporate and Industrial Theatre Production company in East London (2001-2013)

Having moved to Australia, she founded the company DreamDRAMA[1] there in 2015.
