Published works include the children's poems like Die Spook ("the ghost"), the collection Oe-la-la! : versies en verse oor kinders en diere ("Ooh la la: verses about children and animals", 1992), and more.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Bernie Visser has translated a number of English plays into Afrikaans, including Die Twaalf-Pond Blik (J.M. Barrie's The Twelve-Pound Look), Die Koelkopkat (One Cool Cat by John Laing. With Tinus Visser), Die Blommewinkel (The Florist Shop by Winifred Hawkridge), 'n Malhuis vir Ontbyt (A Mad Breakfast by Mcreynolds Gray), Veilige Vesting (Fortress by Michael Scanlan), Vlerke (Wings by Linda J. Barnes).
