Mille Miglia is a TV screenplay about motor racing written for broadcast by BBC television in 1968 by Athol Fugard (1932-).

The Original Text

The text focuses on a famous racing driver (Stirling Moss) and Motor Sport correspondent, Denis Jenkinson, as they prepare for the 1955 Mille Miglia 1000 mile motor race across Italy.

The television film was broadcast on BBC's Theatre 625 in August 1968, directed by Robin Midgley, starring Michael Bryant and Ronald Lacey.

Published in Modern Stage Directions (eds Stephen Gray and David Schalkwyk, pub. Maskew Miller Longman, 1984). Also published in My Children! My Africa! and Selected Shorter Plays by Wits University Press (1990).
