Queer Cargo is a play by Noel Langley[1] (1911–1980).

The original text

This was Langley's first play, and was written while he was still a student at the University of Natal in Durban. The text is apparently unpublished.

Translations and adaptations

The play was adapted by Patrick Kirwan and filmed by the Associated British Picture Corporation (ABPC) in 1938, and released in the USA in 1941. (Also known as Pirates of the Seven Seas)

Stage performances

1932: First produced by the Durban Repertory Theatre.

1935?: The play was subsequently produced at Wyndham's Theatre in London, where it ran for seven months.
