Daar was 'n Skippie ("There was a little boat") is an Afrikaans one-act play, said to have been translated by F.P. van der Merwe from a French original by Jacques Prieux.

The original text

The play is claimed to be a translation - probably from the French - of a one-act piece by a Jacques Prieux. Possibly a dramatised piece for children, based on the well-known French song, Il était un petit navire[1]
