In the guidelines on Contributing to ESAT, the contributor is given the general principles for working on the encyclopaedia, and provided with general outlines of what is contained in the various sections of the publication.

In this sub-entry we provide four copy-and-paste versions of the page outlines for the four most frequently used sections of the encyclopaedia. They can also be copied and pasted into a word document, and worked on off-line.

How to use

To use the page outlines below as blank formats for writing entries, click on "Edit" next to the title of the particular section, copy the template (with all the "formatting") on the new page and save. Then fill in details as required and at your leisure, saving regularly.

The template for Personalities

Person's name (Date of birth/death) is a professional or Amateur Director/Actress/actor/singer/dancer/voice artist/critic/designer/etc for (stage / film etc),

Biography

Include items like the following in this section: full names, place and date of birth; education and training; general career; marital status and family; place and date of death if applicable

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

General notes on the person's role in the performing arts etc, then a listing of works written, directed, performed in, etc. Provide dates of publication/production, where available.

YEAR: Name of production.
