Die Lewe is 'n Speeltoneel ("Life is a performance") is a collection of Afrikaans plays published by the Afrikaanse Persboekhandel.
The collection
Published by Afrikaanse Persboekhandel in 1952, the title reflecting something of the sense of Shakespeare's "All the world's a stage".
The volume contains
Die Wildsboudjie by Fritz Steyn
Om Lettie se Ontwil by P.W.S. Schumann
Translations and adaptations
In a later incarnation of the collection, Die Wildsboudjie was left out, and the text adapted and expanded with more plays to be renamed Rooibruin Blare en Ander Eenakters. It was edited by Abel Coetzee by published by the Afrikaanse Persboekhandel in 1968.
