He is also known by his pseudonym, Antonius

Biography

He studied at the University of Stellenbosch, obtaining a Higher Diploma in Primary Education in 1926.

Besides the play mentioned below, he also wrote a novel, Westewinde oor Skaars-van-Als (1969) as M.A. Smit.

Wrote the play Koning Saul (1949) under the pseudonym Antonius.
