Vlerkdans ("Wing Dance") is the name of an award-winning Afrikaans youth novel by Barrie Hough as well as that of two stage adaptations.

The novel was prescribed nationally at high schools in South Africa.

Performance history in South Africa

1999: The Meiring adaptation staged in March 1999 in the Momentum Theatre at the State Theatre, directed by Lizz Meiring, with Wikus du Toit, Francois Henning, Annalise Bosch, Isadora Verwey, Karen Wessels, Greg Melvill-Smith and Jeanine Cordani. The same production was staged at Aardklop (1999).
