The original text
A short monologue, written for the LitNet's "Stemme | Voices | Amazwi" project (created in response to the South African restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic), a series of 10 monologues by established and upcoming dramatists, presented in co-operation with the Suidoosterfees, KKNK and NATi. This particular piece is about a prisoner who ruminates on issues like being a man, fatherhood, guilt and self-recrimination.
