*** The theme of the 2006 ASA Festival was ''Every View Counts''. Almost 90 schools participated in 75 different shows and visual arts exhibitions. The six-day-long event consists of short one act plays specifically written and developed by the individual schools, in the language of their choice. Some plays are the result of the educators’ drama directors workshops held at [[Artscape]] between April and June this year. These workshops were conducted by [[Magnet Theatre]] in association with Artscape. Professional drama practitioners have visited schools to polish the plays for the festival. All the plays are to be adjudicated during the first five days which will culminate in a gala performance on Saturday morning, September 16 from 10:30 (10.30am) followed by a glittering prize giving ceremony.
