Sydney Witkin' (19*-) was an actor.

Biography

Born in South Africa, the brother to Alec “Afrique” Witkin, he was married to Minna Schneier.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He was a member of Johannesburg Repertory Society.

He had roles in Robert Ardrey’s Thunder Rock (1940), Of Mice and Men (as Lennie, 1940), Counsellor-at-Law (1938 and 1941), The Flashing Stream (1943, directed by Muriel Alexander with Minna Schneier), They Came to a City (1944), The Russian People (1944), The Searching Wind (1945), Fresh Fields (1945), The Coral King, Love in Albania (1951).
