A play about the underprivileged, it was the joint winner (along with [[Wilma Stockenström]]’s ''[[Die Laaste Middagmaal]]'') of a one-act play competition organised for [[The Space]] (Cape Town) by the [[Foundation for Art and Theatre]] in 1973.
 
 
 
Performed at [[The Space]] in 1975 as a double-bill with ''[[Die Laaste Middagmaal]]''.
 
 
 
Scene 1 of the play was published in ''[[Contemporary South African Plays]]'' (ed Ernest Perreira) under the title ''[[Weekend]]'' in 1977.

1975: First staged as part of a double-bill in the [[Outer Space]] (Cape Town) in 1975, directed by [[Charlotte du Toit]] with [[Paul Herzberg]], [[Blaise Koch]], [[Lynne Maree]], [[Jan Olivier]] and [[Trix Pienaar]]. The stage managers were [[Bill Anderson]] and [[Fatima Dike]].
