His reviews of theatre productions were published in various South African newspapers and journals. In 1965, when he was theatre critic of ''[[The Star]]'', he was banned from the [[Brooke Theatre]]. A letter to that effect was placed in every programme bought by patrons at the theatre. His reviews of theatre productions were published in various South African newspapers and journals. In 1965, when he was theatre critic of The Star, he was banned from the Brooke Theatre.
