Percy Ould (1868-1913) was a Cape Town violinist and music teacher.

Biography

Not much is known of his personal life, but in the 1890s he performed in concerts together with the conductor Theophil Wendt (1874-1951)[1], and was responsible, with Wendt, for organizing music for the Grahamstown Exhibition of Arts and Crafts (end of 1898 – beginning of 1899), By 1900 he was considered the principal violin teacher in Cape Town.

The Percy Ould Memorial Prize is awarded by the Music Department at the University of Cape Town.
