Carel Nel (19**- ) is a South African actor on stage, television and film.

Training

He studied Drama at the University of the Free State.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He played the title role in Die Rebellie van Lafras Verwey by director Albert Maritz in 2012. Other productions include Dream, Brother (2011), The Verbalists (2012), Deksels (Woordfees 2013), Murderer and The Demon Bride. Koöperasiestories 2017. Was in the film Hartstog by Deon Opperman, director André Velts. Also in the film Die Fliek with Cintaine Schutte.

Awards, etc.

He won a Fleur du Cap for his role in Die Rebellie van Lafras Verwey. Best actor in short films at the KykNET Silwerskermfees in 2016 and also 2017.
