Kind Hamlet ("Child Hamlet") is a docu-drama about Shakespeare's play, created by Marthinus Basson, with the help of his cast.
Based on 12 hours of interviews with the theatre veterans Cobus Rossouw and his wife Sandra Kotze, talking about a number of issues, such as the difficulties of performing Hamlet and playing the leading role, why the play has so seldom been performed in South Africa, and so on. The play itself was developed in rehearsal, featuring the two veterans and two young actors, Eben Genis and Ludwig Binge.
