Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
He was a member of the short lived Phoenix Dramatic Club, in Cape Town in 1865, and was responsible for what was referred to by the press as the "splendid Scenery" for the club's presentation of the "Grand Comical, Classical (Musical) Burlesque of William Tell" presented on 1 August, 1865 in the Theatre Royal, as afterpiece to a repeat performance of The Irish Attorney, or Galway Practice (Bernard).
