Society is a comedy by T.W. Robertson (1829-1871)[1].

The original text
First produced in 1865 at the Prince of Wales's Theatre, Liverpool, and thereafter at the Prince of Wales's Theatre in London's West End, where it ran from 11 November 1865 to 4 May 1866.
The text, edited by T. Edgar Pemberton, was published - with Robertson's Caste - by D.C. Heath & Co (Boston & London) in 1905

1875: Performed by Disney Roebuck and his company in the Bijou Theatre, Cape Town, on 6 and 10 May. The cast included Tom Paulton as the "fop".
