Peter du Preez (19??-??) is a playwright.
Biography
According to Gosher (1988) he was the author of a play called A Place of Safety, first performed at Rhodes University in 1963 and two scenes of the play then published in Vol.1, no. 3 of The Classic (1964). .
Given the theme of the play (a look at "the changed values and developments occurring as the result of a nuclear holocaust"), the author could possibly be the Peter du Preez (-2017)[], who was a Professor of Psychology at UCT from 1977 to 1999. According to his obituary[1], he had been at Rhodes University for a period in his career - quite possibly in the 1960s - and may in this way have become involved in the playwriting project run by a small group of Rhodes University staff and students round about 1963-4.
