Alfred Paumier (1870–1951) was a British stage and film actor and company manager.

Biography
Born Alfred Gardner Pickthall Hodgson in Everton, Liverpool, on 14 November, 1870 , he became an actor under the name Alfred Paumier, initially on stage, later also in film.
On stage his broadway appearances included a Broadway production of The Story of the Rosary (Howard) in 1914.
He appeared in a number of films, including The Lifeguardsman (1916), Wanted: A Widow (1916), and The Amateur Gentleman (1920).
He died on 25 January, 1951 in Richmond, Surrey.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
Paumier visited South Africa in 1911 with his company, inter alia performing in the Opera House Cape Town. The company's repertoire included performances of The Midnight Wedding (Howard) and The Speckled Band (Conan Doyle), the latter in which Paumier played "Paul Valmar".
