Die Bad-Gaste (lit: "The bathing guests") is an Afrikaans farce by Stephanus Maré (18**-1918),
(Sometimes also found as Die Badgaste, e.g. in Binge, 1969, or simply Bad-gaste.

The original text
It may have been a translation of an unnamed European play, it was and published as Die bad-gaste: Afrikaanse blijspel by the Paarlse Drukpers, 1917.
Translations and adaptations
Translated into Afrikaans as Die Bad-Gaste (lit: "The bath guests") by Stephanus Maré (18**-1918), and becoming very popular in South Africa as well. Die bad-gaste : Afrikaanse blijspel by S* Mare( Book )

1916/1917?: Performed in Afrikaans by the Afrikaans-Hollandse Toneelvereniging, Pretoria.
1919-20: Performed in Afrikaans by the Graaff-Reinetse Letterkundige en Toneel Vereniging, under the direction of Pieter Pohl.
1922?: Performed in Afrikaans by the Middelburgse Kultuurvereniging under the direction of Danie Olivier.
