The original text
A play about the complications that follow when a Baroness promises to marry a politician who succeeded in passing her bill on women's emancipation. First performed (to lukewarm critical reception) at The Criterion Theatre, London, on 18 October, 1900, playing till 22 January, 1901.

1901: Performed by Edward Sass and his company in the Opera House, Cape Town, in October, directed by Sass, probably presented under the auspices of Ben and Frank Wheeler.
