Jo'burg Messiah is a play by Michael Picardie (1936-).


The original text

Based on Bandiet: Seven Years in a South African Prison by Hugh Lewin (1939-2019) (published 1974), the play was first performed by the Sherman Arena Company, Cardiff at the Oxford as part of the Observer Festival of Theatre in 1980/1981, directed by John Lindstrum.

The text is unpublished, but can be obtained from the author.
