The play opened at the Criterion Theatre, London, on 27 April, 1891. Later played at the Athenaeum Theatre, London, 7 July to 17 October, 1891, the thrud act apparently considerably rewritten.
 
 
 
A performance of the play opened at the Grand Opera House, London, Ontario,  on Monday, 23 January, 1893.
