Biography
Before training at Central School of Speech and Drama in London, he practiced law, for five years, in South Africa and London and then went to live in London. He has appeared in West End and many other major U.K. theatres. [1]
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
He played the role of Professor Joseph Mashkan in Old Wicked Songs in Cape Town and Johannesburg in 1998.
In 2000 he performed in Now You're Talking at the Alhambra Theatre.
In 2010 he performed in the one-man show Roots ... Shmoots! which he devised and which takes as inspiration a number of stories by Sholom Aleichem, as well as Gimpel the Fool by Yiddish scribe IB Singer. It's been an international hit, playing to sold-out acclaim in the UK, US, Canada and Europe. These performances were at the Studio Theatre, Montecasino Theatre before transferring to the Theatre on the Bay, Cape Town.
