Biography
Born Nomzamo Mxumalo Mbatha in KwaMashu, north of Durban, on 13 July 1990, and attended Sihlezi Primary School in KwaMhlanga and Bechet High School, where she obtained her High School Diploma. while still at school she used to be invited to speak at other schools around Durban and was subsequently invited to become Madam Speaker in the KZN Youth Parliament.
She studied at the University of Cape Town where she graduated from with a Bachelor of Commerce degree specializing in Accounting in 2018.
In 2019, she was appointed a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador.
Contribution to South African Theatre, Film, Media and Performance
She was one of the three finalists in the 2012 MTV Base VJ Search and soon thereafter (in 2013) got her first acting role in the TV soap-opera isiBaya and in 2015 starred as "Khwezi" in the e.TV drama series Umlilo and appeared in the romantic film Tell Me Sweet Something.
As a TV presenter she has hosted shows such as All Access Mzansi (Season 10), BET A-List (Season 1), and the reality travel show Holiday Swap (for the South African Broadcasting Corporation). She was also the presenter of The South African Music Awards (Season 25).
In 2019 she moved to Hollywood, and was cast as one of the leads in the new film Coming 2 America.
