First performed in London at Wyndham's Theatre in 1894 and at the Lyceum Theatre, New York, December 29, 1894. First published by Macmillan and Company in 1894.

1895: Performed in the Opera House, Cape Town, by Edward Sass and his company and directed by Sass, under the auspices of Ben and Frank Wheeler.
1901: Performed in the Good Hope Theatre, Cape Town by Edward Sass and his company during October, probably again under the auspices of Ben and Frank Wheeler.
