Hlengiwe Madlala (19**-). Actress and choreographer. She is also credited as Hlengiwe Lushaba and Hlengiwe Lushaba-Madlala.

Training
Hlengiwe studied Theatre, Dance, Singing and Acting at Technikon Natal, now known as Durban University of Technology.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
Theatre credits include And The Girls in Their Sunday Dresses, Diamonds and Dust, Hooked on Books, Far From the Madding Crowd (Playhouse, Durban, 2003), Lost in the Stars, Hairspray, Touch My Blood (2009), Curl Up and Dye, The Story I'm About to Tell, In the End is My Beginning and Sophiatown .
She performed in Soweto Story (2007) and in the revue African Queens in 2008.
She had a role in the film District 9.
Awards, etc.
She won the FNB Vita Award for Most Promising Dancer in 2002.
Hlengiwe won the Standard Bank Young Artist Awards for Dance in 2006 (as Hlengiwe Lushaba) with the choreographic work Ziyakhipha ...come dance with us.
