1949: Produced by Doreen Egan and presented by the Port Elizabeth Musical and Dramatic Society (Pemads) at The Port Elizabeth Opera House commencing on June 20, 1949, with a full company and orchestra. Starring Jeane Cooper as Juliette, Wilfred Lissack as a singer and the Grand Duke, Reginald Barsley as the Count of Luxembourg, Harold Davidson as Brissard with singing by Bessie Collett
