Stille Jan ("Silent John") is a play in two acts, with songs, by Arnold (Nicolaas Arnoldus Wijnstok, 1830-1878)[1].

Written for the Rederijkers and published in Amsterdam by G. Theod. Bom, 1873.

Performance history in South Africa

1881: Performed in Dutch in the Oddfellows Hall, Cape Town on 1 December by the Rederijkerskamer Aurora II, with Twee Oude Gekken in de Klem, of Het Neefje van de Heeren Pompoen (T. van der Stempel).
