No trace of a text of, or reference to, such a play with this specific name has yet been found , except for the reference on page 467 in [[F.C.L. Bosman|Bosman]] (1980).
 
 
However, it could just possibly be an adapted version of ''[[De Losbollen, of De Gewaande Doode]]'' ("the vagrants, or the supposed dead person"), a [[Dutch]] translation by  J. Helders en A. Mars, of ''[[Les  Étourdis, ou Le Mort Supposé]]'' ("the stunned, or the supposed death"). The French play is a comedy in three acts by  François Andrieux (1759–1833)[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fran%C3%A7ois_Andrieux], first performed by the Comédiens Italiens ordinaires du Roi at Versaille and at the Théâtre-Italien, in 1788. 1872: Performed in Dutch as Dood of Niet Dood by Aurora II in the hall of the Germania Hall, Cape Town on 4 June, with De Drie Verliefde Schoolmeesters (Brink).
