De Twee Huisknechts, of De Bedrieger Bedrogen is a one act comedy in Dutch by Arnold (Nicolaas Arnoldus Wijnstok, 1830-1878)[1].

Also found simply as De Twee Huisknechts.

The original text

Written for the Rederijkers, it was published in Volume 4 of Poëzij voor Rederijkers by P.M. van de Made, Amsterdam, in 1858.

Performance history in South Africa

1868: Performed by Aurora II in the hall of the Liedertafel Germania, Cape Town on 10 September, with Bertram de Cipier (Arnold) as an afterpiece.

1871: Performed as De Twee Huisknechts by Aurora II in the hall of the Germania Hall, Cape Town on 6 July, with De Bloedgetuigen (N.N.) as an afterpiece.
