Een Huwelijksadvertentie, of De Geplaagde Schoolmeester ("A wedding advertisement, or the plagued teacher") is a comedy by Jacobus Broekhoff (1839-)[1] (also known by his pseudonym "Jaco").
The title also found written as Eene Huwelijks-advertensie, of De Geplaagde Schoolmeester , Een Huwelijks Advertensie, of De Geplaagde Schoolmeester and Eene Huwelijks-advertensie, of De Geplaagde School-meester (e.g. in Bosman, 1980 and Koch, 1997)
The author is wrongly given as "G. Broekhoff Gzn." at one place in Bosman (1980: p. 474).

Written for performance by the Rederijkerskamers in the Netherlands, it was published by Hoorn in 1875.

1886: Performed as Een Huwelijks Advertensie, of De Geplaagde Schoolmeester (ascribed to G. Broekhoff) in the Oddfellows Hall, Cape Town, by Aurora II on 4 August, with Liefde voor het Vaderland (A.A. van der Stempel).
