Biography
She was born on 6 November 1944 and grew up in the Laingsburg district.
Her drama training was obtained from the University of Stellenbosch Drama Department in the mid-1960s and at the ADK.

Woutrine has appeared on stage in Die Lewe wat ek jou Gegee het (UTS) 1964), Drie Dae Meester (UTS 1965), Faust (1966), Exit the King (UTS 1966), Yerma (UTS 1966), Voëlvry (1967), The West Indian (1967), Tartuffe (KRUIK 1968), Moenie Praat Nie (KRUIK 1968), Kom Spook By My (KRUIK 1968), Cyrano de Bergerac (KRUIK 1969), 'n Seder Val in Waterkloof (PACT 1975), Die Vrek (PACT 1976), Die Potlooddief en die Engel (PACT 1985).
She became a household name when she played "Grieta" in the popular televison series Nommer Asseblief and had a role in a radio broadcast of Die Beskermengel (2013).
As director
She directed an amateur production of Drie Dae Meester in 1975 and Erfgoed at Kampustoneel 1991.
As translator aqnd adaptor
She translated the children’s play Clumsy Cathburt and the Little Green Man into Afrikaans, adapted Liewe Heksie for the stage.
As lecturer and administrator
She lectured in drama at the Tshwane University of Technology and served as its head of drama from 1989 to 1998.
She served on the panel of judges for the Dirk en Reinette Nagtegaal KKNK kompetisie vir Nuutgeskrewe Verhoogtekste for a period and in 2007 she was one of the judges for the ACT Awards (Arts & Culture Trust Awards of the President). She was a member of the planning committee ("Kunstekabinet") for the KKNK for a time and a judge for the Nagtegaalprys for drama (2005).
