Music at Night (1938) is a play by J B Priestley (1894-1984). In the play the playing of a violin concerto releases a group of characters from their outer selves and permits the author to make stage presentation of the subconscious. Published in Four Plays, Heinemann, 1944. (Contents: Music at Night; The Long Mirror; They Came to a City; Desert Highway.)
